    Increased flow. A drilled stock box will make the same or more power than a aftermarket water box and won't be as loud and only cost you time and a drill bit.

    Or if you're stupid and don't take your time, the cost of a second drill bit once you destroy the first one.

    I'd recommend using some sort of lubricant while drilling, those waterboxes are freakin hard
    1990 X2 - Drilled Waterbox, Bolted steering Mod, oil pump delete, 38mm, chopped hull. In the Works: 15.5 skat trak, hydro turf, decals, etc ....

    I'm not sure if I have a stock water box or not?how do I tell? I bought the ski used and it does have a few aftermarket parts

    If it's stainless it's probably stock. All the aftermarket ones I've seem are aluminum. Post up some pics and I'm sure someone will be able to ID it. Or you have my email, send some pics.
