Re: 97- 720 engine with flooding problem

Just leave the fuel switch OFF and spark plugs out until you're ready to start it. Then With fuel switch still off, just crack the throttle, no choke, and crank until it starts blubbering then just...

Re: 97- 720 engine with flooding problem

I usually only see warped or deformed parts when somebody has put an additive in the fuel like Seafoam or something. Flush it good with carb cleaner and let it dry for 30 minutes, they normally will...
  3. Re: Looking for an aftermarket 750 hood sank ski today and lost this hood

Sounds like you had a loose or dirty ground connection.

Why don't you post a Facebook ad for a local diver to find it? That's what they do around here.

Re: sbn 44 on 650sx - cant get it to go

Just an FYI........I've brobably used 100 'Venom' brand kits this season with only one issue.....had a slightly boogered seat once that wouldn't hold popoff.

My 650sx is slightly modded and...

Wait 'til dark start it up and keep it half choked so it's running rich. Use a flashlight ACROSS the engine bay. You will see the smoke in the light beam.

Re: Need help get 650 flywheel off

A light sandblasting will work, wire wheel in a drill, or soak it overnight in white vinegar.

Re: Need help get 650 flywheel off

I use the same method all the time cause it works. Find a small bolt that sits in the impeller snout for your puller center bolt to push against. Spray penetrating lube in around the snout. Tighten...
  10. Re: Will idle well all day, but only runs ~30 seconds at 30+ mph

Yes, freshwater still corrodes the aluminum....which is why they put anticorrosives in antifreeze. You'll probably need to back it into the water so the jet pump is making good water...

  14. Re: Will idle well all day, but only runs ~30 seconds at 30+ mph

The intercooler uses lake water to pass through a heat exchanger and cool the intake air. If a part of this corrodes....freezes and busts open....etc, then you get water spraying into your intake air...

Sounds like the symptoms of a leaking intercooler.

Re: How hot does a waterbox get?

I know on the 650 and 750 Kawasaki the weak or intermitant flow out the pisser is an indication of a blown head gasket. And the exhaust will get much too hot. You should NEVER be able to sizzle water...

  21. Re: Punctured PTO boot by accident on 98 GTX any options ?

The grease oozed out cause it's under pressure of just being filled. Zip tie it on the driveshaft. Hold a paper towel down there and squeeze so any excess grease comes out the hole. THEN clean it up...

Re: Rave Valve 98 GTX RFI

The fuel injected RAVEs are a bit different than the carbed ones. You need to just unscrew and remove the black plastic and rubber bellows first. Then theres enough room to remove the valve.
