  • another pee questions

So I have a new to me 07 VX that only pushes out a little pee... like 2 or 3 inches in height (where my other ski pushed a 5 or 6 foot spray at full throttle). Ran it for a few hours today and it didn't seem to overheat. It ran fantastic. I didn't notice much water inside when I pulled it out (so I don't think the hose is split somewhere). Stuck it on the garden hose afterwards and I didn't see a leak anywhere inside. Pulled the hose off the rear and blew through it and didn't feel any restriction.

What is the likely culprit? Should I be concerned? Like i said, it didn't overheat and it seems to be running fine at the moment... I just want to keep it that way.

not a big deal but there must be a restriction somewhere in that line.. not hard to trace out..

Assume you are talking about the visibility spout and not the pisser on the port side. Mine did that while I was riding in Lake Marion. I found a tiny piece of cypruss driftwood about the size of a fingernail lodged in the nozzle where the rubber hose to the spout takes off. You can probably blow it out with air or maybe a flexible wire. Also notice a ding in my impeller so I assume I ran over it at speed. BTW it's safe to install a valve to block the spout but why would you other than to keep from spraying a skier...

It must be an "old" one, that happens as you get older!!!!
2, 1998 TS 770 L, restored and running great as of July 2019 (NO THANKS to the person at SBT, who put the WRONG crankshaft bearing into the rebuilt engine I got from them)

My 2008 VX DLX started doing this last year. Noticed a small ding on the impeller and small piece of cypress driftwood stuck in to port where the signal hose comes off the nozzle. I think most refer to the pisser as the small stream of hot water exiting on the port hull just below the gunwhale
