  • Tigershark TS1100R Part Sourcing

I'm in need of a TS1100R motor since mine filled with water and melted down the PTO piston. What are some good sources to find a motor? Is the TS1100Li motor the same except for the head caps? I found one of those on eBay however don't want to spend a truckload of money for something that I'm not sure will work.

I beleive the injected 1100 shares the same bottom end. And for future reference the 1100 engine shares pistons with the zr 900 twin.

According to the seller they are not the same motor and a check of part numbers on http://www.alpha-sports.com/arctic_c...hark_parts.htm the numbers appear to be different however they sure are similar. I need to finish getting mine pulled from the hull and do a comparison that way.

Are just the pistons the same or are any other parts also interchangeable such as connecting rods, wrist pins, etc.?

Not sure about crank parta, i know the zr cylinders are different due to the power valves.. but the pistons are a confirmed fit. Running them on my 1100 now.

Is your crank even good? That will be the hardest part to source I think. Not many of those around or spare parts.

Crank is in excellent shape. Runs very good. Was just cyrious, looking to get another 1100. Crank works in AZ can rebiuld these cranks.

                      Re: Tigershark TS1100R Part Sourcing

New to posting so please forgive any mistakes. I am rebuilding my 99 ts1100r. I purchased the 3006-393 03-06 zr 900 pistons as suggested. They do not fit my engine. The piston skirt is different and hits the block. Could someone who has done this swap before post the piston numbers they used? or advise?
