Florida marinas & launch sites

Hi All - picking up new to me ski in FLORIDA in December & interested in going from marina to marina to visit friends on boats in Marinas. Can I do that in a ski? On ocean side? Are the marinas going to give me a hard time?
DO I NEED TO CALL AHEAD BEFORE I ENTER THE MARINA??
ANY HELP/COMMENTS APPRECIATED!!

What area of FL? There will be a lot of "No wake zones" "Manatee Zones", get ready to idle ALOT.

So far, have connections in Stuart, Marathon, Ft. Meyers, Tampa, Dunedin and a few more. I know for a boat you are supposed to call the Harbormaster before entering the marina. Im a newbie so just checking on launching access and proper protocol for entering Marina. No problem with idle.
