Re: Still riding in NJ
HA HA, no thank you, I usually don't get started until April. Have fun today, you should have a lot of gawkers watching you from the walk-bridge!
Water levels are probably up with the recent rains, you go through the wing dam up to the Byram launch?Last edited by CJ River Rider; 01-13-2013, 10:28 AM.

Re: Still riding in NJ
Just finishing up a bilge install and want to test it out, possibly this Sunday in the Manasquan River. Air temps supposed to be in the mid 40's. I got a 6-5-4 full suit with hood, 7mm boots and gloves. Anybody else interested?1988 650sx- ground up resto, RAD flywheel, Solas prop, Jet Dynamics ride plate, Worx intake, Keihin 42 carb, Factory pipe, Jettrim mats-44.6 MPH

Re: Still riding in NJ
So I actually did get out Sunday...was a little colder then forecasted...Air temps around 37. Besides that, could not have asked for better conditions....virtually no wind, so the river was glass...no one else out obviously. Unfortunately, my ride was cut short due to the negative battery cable breaking off. Thank God I had my tools on board...was able to rig it up well enough to get back to the launch. Hoping for some warm weather to get out again soon!1988 650sx- ground up resto, RAD flywheel, Solas prop, Jet Dynamics ride plate, Worx intake, Keihin 42 carb, Factory pipe, Jettrim mats-44.6 MPH

Re: Still riding in NJ
Cool thanks...yeah it was pretty low to the east of treasure island...bout 2-3 feet and tide was almost completely out. That's why I was able to walk my ski to the shore! I kinda stayed in the channel because the water was real muddy..didn't want to go in shallow water and suck something up. The bay is really bad I heard....houses and cars in there and a ton of sand. I got by the dog beach in Squan and that looked pretty normal.1988 650sx- ground up resto, RAD flywheel, Solas prop, Jet Dynamics ride plate, Worx intake, Keihin 42 carb, Factory pipe, Jettrim mats-44.6 MPH
