  • Selling and buying on PWC Today

As you all know there has been a rash of scams perpitrated
on this site, I have done all in my power to help those
out money get some type of refund.
However in most cases this does not happen.
    So some suggestion.
    First:
When buying, offer a half now and half upon delivery.
If they say no, find your parts elseware.
Most sellers (reputable) will work with you.
    Second:
NO PAYPAL ( they care about there profits, not your money)
I know this is an easy method for payment however you
are WAY limited on what you can do and how much you can recover
    if things go bad.
BANK DRAFT, POSTAL MONEY ORDER is what I use.

    Lastly:
Ask around to get some feedback, DON'T BUY ON THE FLY!!!
I know most need the PARTS ASAP, however if you have been looking
for that one part you can find then someone pops up and says he has
3 of them be very carefull.
Find a reputable person that sells here on PWC Today and ask them to
    find the part you need.

Hope this helps and I will maintain a vigilance on scamers....

I agree there are quite a few reputable sellers on here. But I use paypal with all my transactions because I thought it was safe for both parties. Am I wrong on this?
Thanks for the concern and checking in on stuff rudedog

PayPal is as safe as if you sent the seller cash before he sends part. In other words, its like locking the doors to your house. Locks are designed to keep honest people out because if you are a crook, the lock will not stop anything. Most people are honest. Especially Asians (not Phillipines) In 6 years of using PayPal, with 1,000 transactions, I have been screwed twice. Once PayPal got my money back, the other they didn't. So once in 6 years that totaled $40 lost, I haven't had many problems. I had rather have PayPal (if it says transaction was "Instant") than a money order.

We at Never Satisfied Motorsports would love to have everyones business on this site. I know there has been a couple of individuals here on this site that have stuck it to many unsuspecting people. This is why we had a new website built for the customer. This way you can see what you are purchasing, get a shipping quote and pay securely with a major credit card. However we always will accept any other form of payment that you the consumer feel more comfortable using. If you dont see what you are looking for on the site, send us an email and I will see if I have it or if I can get it. I try to get different watercraft in everyday to meet your needs. We are a dealer of Hot Products and WSM, so we can get you new and aftermarket parts also. For you folks that have been taken by the bad guys email me and I will see if I have the part you got taken on. If so I will sell it to you at 50% off (used parts only) We want to be your new and used parts source.

        Thanks,
        Jeremy@NSM

As I learned tonight, paypal is not secure, it protects the seller and only the seller out side of ebay. Once a payer has sent the money and the buyer takes it out of paypal, they can run off and there is nothin you can do about it, file a claim call your credit card... complain as you may there is nothing you can do

It is true Paypal sucks. They guarantee NOTHING and take a 5-6% fee. They are not a bank, not federally insured, they are just a private company out for PROFITS! I got ripped off, not on this site, and they did NOTHING!

half now and half on delivery? How are sellers supposed to determine if a buyer is reputable?

There are buyers that try to screw over sellers.

X2, big time. Unfortunately, you need to go entirely on feeling and feedback/reputation of seller. I won't take half now and half on delivery, as from my 15+ years experience selling stuff to people who ask me to do that. Those people usually don't have the money to buy what you have and are either hoping to get it for half or come up with the money somehow between initial payment and shipping.

I will continue to use PAYPAL - but I will also continue to research the people I would do business with. They are plenty of reputable people here. This has made me leary of buying from newbies.
