I can't watch it on my phone can you tell me how you girls got into riding? My daughter is 5 she is kind of scared of my x2. I think that's mostly from the face spray you receve when riding. I really want to get her into it and I don't know if I should incourage it somehow or just let it be and come naturally.
I need to find a poster of a racer girl for her bedroom that would be cool.

yeah you figured her out. she races the older kids and they about run her over when they pass her but she just motors through their wakes like its no big deal.

For 10 years old. She is doing great. That's a handful of ski for an adult. Running in race chop is no joke that's for sure.

I started when I was twelve on a 440 and am a boy so that wasint to hard. Did your girls start on a pole ski what was it?

i started riding my friends jet ski in about 85' got my first 440 in 88' and still have both of them. so the kids been around jet skis their entire lives. they both started riding on my dads seadoos with me when they were about a year old and anna started riding the standups when she was about 11 and jessie started when she was 9.

garrcass: I got my twin daughters first into riding our old school X2 with me. They would stand in the front. I think they where around 7 years old. Also they rode with me on our sit down. They didnt want to ride a stand up ski alone until they were 12. Now they are stand up ski junkies. Hang in there, she will come around.

Girls can ride skis. I think they pick it up easier then boys do. The girls seem to take a little more time at first trying to ride a ski over the boys though.

I have the same problem, my daughter is 10 and is scared of the waveblaster. She can do kinda ok on the waveventure with my wife though. I only got into it about two years ago though, so my daughter hasn't had as much exposure at a young age, and is timid by nature. We also can only afford to go about twice a month to folsom lake, I like setting up my westy on the beach to hang out at if the kids are coming. If its just me and the wife we usually put in on the delta at orwood and ride together, as we don't need the westy to hang out at as much without the kids...

Stupid question, but those who have started young or have young children starting off, I take it they are doing this on a private lake? Or do you just find somewhere with no patrols to practice? I know the authorities would be all over me if I let one of my young kids take my ski for a spin, with or without me aboard!

None of our young kids will actually pilot our jet skis by themselves, johnny law present or not. We do ride behind them discreetly and let them steer and use the throttle a bit when no one is around. To be clear we have a daughter and nieces.
