    Mike 'THE MAULER' Yellich

    For Immediate Release
    November 6, 2006

    MIKE 'The Mauler' YELLICH

2006 IJSBA Hall of Fame Inductee, Mike Yellich and family during the induction ceremony in Lake Havasu City, Arizona

October 8, 2006 City of Lake Havasu Arizona, IJSBA World Finals

Mike Yellich was on of 25 chosen personas who have influenced the sport of personal watercraft racing and ceremoniously was inducted into the IJSBA 2006 Half of Fame.

The Hall of Fame was launched by the IJSBA's managing director, Scott Frazier also an IJSBA alumni racer. 'When this sport was forming, Mike Yellich had the definitive race school that anyone who was interested in improving their stand up skills would consider. I was a runabout racer and I considered going to his stand up school just to learn to ride with him. When the IJSBA offices moved, Mike was one of the first guys with Dave Arnold who helped me move. Both asked what they could do to help out, they stepped up for the sport." States Scott.

Yellich rides motorcross bikes and owns Maulers Mobile Repair Center, and is best known as the Race Training Icon with Mauler Watercraft Schools. Mike is also an action sports announcer and competed with over 18 years experience on the Jet Ski circuit. He resides in Southern California with his wife and 2 daughters.

'Mike was instrumental in helping with contacts and suggestions during the transitional phase. In respect to the first inductees for the Hall of Fame, Mike may have been the person the peers actually felt was deserving for his commitment to this sport. I was watery eyed and a lot of other people were too during the ceremony, I would say that it was the greatest talent consolidation of skill and integrity and prestige that the sport had ever seen in one room. These are our heroes from inception to now, the amount of respect towards one another and the reverence everyone had in that room was overwhelming', adds Scott.

Hey Mike, was that from the Havasu race back in December at Crazy Horse? If so, I took a bunch of pics and video that day, may have one of you. Fish was there on the F bike..
