    4 place PWC trailer choices

I was wondering what everyone knows about 4place trailers.

Experiences, good or bad. Durability, etc.

    Trailrite
    Zeiman
    Triton
    Shadow
any others I may have forgot.

Please move if this is the wrong area for this post.

I have always favored FE Trailers out of San Diego. They are lighter and better trailers than a Zieman. The Ziemans weigh way too much. Why lug all that extra weight around unnecessarily. http://www.fetrailers.com/pwc_trailers.html

Plus the FE won't rust up like a Zieman. They are seal welded and powdercoated. They are also available galvanized.

Yup, I have to go with Shadow, a couple of years ago at a boat show I was loooking for something that will last for a long time, looked at everybody's trailer that was there, and no one could come close ,at the time to there workmanship and welding. But they are more.

The Shadow seems to be constructed like the FE with tubular steel and powder coating. The triple axle is a nice feature but might be overkill, unless maybe you plan on carrying 4 RXTs, LOL ?

I've looked at both Shadow & FE. I think the Shadows are a bit beefier, and probably heavier than the FEs. Both companies will build customs for you.

I really like FE's "GalCoat" galvinizing to start with and powder coat over it so it looks nice.

I've seen 4 place Ziemans and they seemed very flexible. It seemed like they used the standard design and just made it longer but not any stronger. I understand the the West Coast Zieman factory was recently bought by a firm from Illinois (I think that's the right state) and was going to upgrade their coating process, which they needed badly.

I have a Triton Elite II and it's flexible (a bit more than I'd like) with only (2) 4-stroke PWCs so unless they build a much beefed up version I wouldn't go with them for 4 place.

How wide is this trailer? I am looking at making the same thing right now but I don't want a 10 foot wide trailer.

Looks like that is for 3 standups. Hauling 3 big sit downs will usually be over width. Unless you could stagger them.
