    Tennessee River 600

A great way to enjoy your Vacation.
Come and check out the Tennessee River 600 web site. This is our 10th year to do the charity ride for The Children's Miracle Network.
It is a week long ride consisting of 600 total miles of riding and some of the best people out there to share the week long trip with you. Good food along the way and a great way to relax with your family and friends. Web site is www.tennesseeriver600.com Big George
This should answer any questions, but we are always around to answer anything that it not covered. You are responsable for securing your rooms and most of your meals. Will explain in web site.

Due to our schedule we could only do one day of the ride (Knoxville to Chattanooga). What would the registration fee be if you can only participate for only one day of the ride?

Morning. Yes we have had people do it on Stand Up's in the beginning. The only problem is that when we lock through they have to either sit on the Coast Guard boat or one of the sit down skis as you can not be in the water when they drop the water out of the Lock's. We have 7 locks to go through on the trip. The stand up's usually have a trailer waiting for them at the locks to drive around, which also helps them make up time as they are not as fast as the sit down's and do not have the fuel to go the distance between fuel stops. The ones that went had a Sit down with extra fuel ride along to help with that small fuel tanks on them. You really have to be tough to handle 600 miles on a stand up, Maybe a 3D model would work but we do have rough waters at times. Yes we do go through Florence Ala. Wilson Lake and Lock. Big George

Morning. Yes you can do a one day part of the ride. It is $100 which will go to the Children's Hospital. It would include the kickoff banquet on Sat. night. Sunday will be a long day for most as we will leave right after day light to make the 3 locks we will have to travel through to get to Chattanooga in the afternoon/evening. The web site should have all the info for a day trip and what it covers. www.tennesseeriver600.com Any questions just contact the web director or Dennis. They can answer any question you might have about the trip. Big George

This sounds like it would be fun. Are riders responsible for getting their skis back to knoxville or do you guys do it?

Afternoon. You car and trailer can be transported to Paris Landing Park for you. The cost is $250 plus it must have a full tank of gas or money to get it on the way. They are bonded and have provided a good service for us over the years. If you want to have a road crew come along then they will pull your trailer with them and meet you at the stops and Motels. Yes. We have the event on the last week of July each year. Usually don't have to wear WetSuits or heavy jackets. I hate the Snow and Ice of Winter. Big George
