Re: SeaDoo 4TEC Stainless Steel Exhaust Bypass

#304 stainless, high quality used on aircraft and aftermarket exhaust headers...

No, this does not replace the J bend from the Manifold to the Waterbox...It replaces the plastic resonator thatthe rubber hose connects to in the bottom right (when looking from rear) of the craft, just before the exit of the hull...

I didn't ASK what it replaced. I was just curious if anyone knew what the MATERIAL of the J-pipe was.

By replacing this resonator, you can reduce the backpressure of the exhaust while gaining both power AND fuel economy.

Unlike other brands who use Aluminum, Stainless Steel is corrosive resistant. These bypass tubes will work in both fresh AND salt water applications.

Constructed with flared ends, no special tools required. Simply remove your OEM resonator, and bridge the gap with this tube. Using the OEM clamps makes installation a BREEZE!

No, I don't make these anymore...

    There is an easier way...

Go to any local auto muffler shop...Ask for 2.5" ID pipe, they should have some scrap around...

Ask for 304 or 316 stainless, even low grade 409 will work just fine...

Have them cut you a chunk roughly 9-10" inches long...

Have them FLARE, or put a small ridge on each end, to keep the hose from coming off...

Should be cheap and quick for them to do...

And just like an automobile, a free flowing exhaust will increase fuel economy based on the new found power...Since less power is now needed to get the same result (cruising, genral driving, etc...) your motor willnot have to work "as hard" to get the same results it did...
