Bill,
My name is Danny Roszell, you may remember me from SBT. I purchased a re-jet kit, flame arrestors, gator grip, mikuni pump and jet trim bow deflector from you last feb or march for a 95 xp800.
The problem I have is that last summer I was breaking in the replacement motor from sbt. I had about 1-1/2 hours on it and I was idling back to our slip in cumberland. I had rode from our dock which is about a 5 min. ride at half throttle and reached our marina where we keep the boat. I had just about reached the slip which is about a 5 min idle, when the ski just quit. No beep no nothing. I swam the ski back to the boat slip and left it there for the day. When we came back from boating I checked all the fuses in the grey box and still nothing. It was getting dark so we left the ski at the slip for the night. The next day we towed the ski back to the dock at idle speed and when we got it back to the house I found that the 15 amp fuse in the black box had blown. I replaced the fuse and it started right up. I fogged the ski real well, winterized it and put it away for the winter. I have since then bought a new vx110 out of frustration. I'm not sure what to do with this ski. I understand that it could be a stator, rectifier or maybe both. While breaking in the ski I had a bog coming out of plane that I could throttle out of if I played with it for a minute, but I'm not sure if it need additional adjustments or potentially a new rectifier.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If your crystal ball is a little fuzzy today I can able to provide more info.
Thanks Bill,
Danny
