Well Kawasaki runabouts have a magnetic key.

Also I believe most stolen skis are dismanteled and sold in parts.

Sure I can program a code I have to enter first. But apparently it has to be 4 digits, i'd much rather just have it be TWO or even ONE digit.
There's your first problem.... it's only 3 digits on a Honda...

Actually, it really isn't that bad after you do it a few times..

That key is one a waste of time. All the owners keep the key right in the compartment where you turn it on.

That does happen, what also happens quite often is it breaks and then is magically stolen. If Some body steals most of the more expensive boats in my yard, they are in for a suprize they are already broken.(just the xl's are pretty)Only time i worry is on the road sleeping at a hotel. Be a beatch getting half way to florida and having to turn around.
Nobody would be stupid enough to steal my sj,or the ss. Looks like crap.
    At least thats the hope.

My whole rig (ski and trailer) is insured up to 11K - so if they take it I just buy another "new" rig. The Honda code is as easy (and quick) as a voice mail box code.

Yeah that too, it's so easy to tow your broken ski offshore, dump 4 bags of concrete mix in it, open the plugs and claim a theft.

Ya price concrete mix lately? That stuff is expensive.
Not what usually happens. It breaks and ends up in a neighbors yard. You have to realize to these people it's all about the money. If they can sell that broken stolen boat they will, claim the insurance money also.
Plus if the boat completely disappears hard to prove to the insurance company it really is a loss.
I could tell ya a good story about stupid thieves, but too long.Good news is they got caught.
