ZXI 900/1100 compatability
Anyone know if a CDI from a 96 900 ZXI will work for a 96 1100 ZXI? I thought they were pretty much the same engine, just bigger bores for the 1100.

i assume you are talking about the igniter, (black box),
they do have different pn's 900zxi (21119-3744) 1100zxi(21119-3745)
but i would bet it would work on each other.
the 3 ignition coils are all the same.

You must be looking at the ebay auction as well.
I would call a dealer and double check.
I am ordering one today from ronayers.com
thanks to spreedreed8's link and info.
It seems as though this (the igniter) is a common problem and I guess I don't want to risk getting another bad one.

Yep. I was looking at the auction. Where did you find the ZXI 1100 at ronayers.com? All I could find were motorcycle engine parts.

I had to look up the part # here:
http://buykawasaki.com/Default.asp?s...ctVehicle.asp?
ronayers.com does not have jet ski P/N's on thier system but they can get any Kawasaki OEM part you need. If you look up the P/N and plug it in thier search field it should show you the price.
I then called Ron Ayer's and they are getting it UPS next day air for me
and I should have it Thursday.
They where very helpful and great to deal with so far.
I will post when I get it.

Thanks for the link and for mentioning ronayers. The prices are better than bike bandit, where I bought a bunch of other stuff.

The part came in today as the folks at ronayers.com said it would.
I highly recommend these folks for OEM Kawi parts. I have never dealt with them before and they went out of thier way to help me get my inginter in time for the weekend ->
Thanks agian to speedreed8 for the heads up on these guys.

I recommend them also. I ordered some motorcycle parts from them (fork seals). My order got jacked up - I was told that fork oil was on back order, but it turned out that the fork seals were on back order.
Called after receiving my order - they overnighted the parts I needed for free. (I paid for the parts, of course)
