Pulser question
Hi all, pulser went out on my sons 550, bought a new pulser and the question is, does it matter which way the pulser goes in and does it matter which wires are soldered to which terminal? We went with a guess and only had spark on one plug, flipped the pulser and now have spark on both, but it’s intermittent.. scratching my head…. Thanks in advance.

Re: Pulser question
How would you know which way is up? There is no right way.
Did you purchase a new coil in a Kawasaki package, a new
Chinese replacement coil, a used coil, or a rebuilt coil?
How did you test the stator? A resistance test or an AC voltage
test?
Are you testing spark with both spark plugs grounded. Are you
using an automotive spark tester, or are the plugs laying on the
head?
Did you inspect the coil wires for a broken high tension wire.

When you replace the stator or stator parts, torquing down (and
seating) the flywheel to 135ft-lbs will prevent a possible problem.
If the flywheel is not torqued properly it can damage the taper
on the first ride.

Horsepower == Speed, RPM != Speed
