    X2 Not turning right

I just picked up a clean 89 X2 with 750 swap, ocean pro nozzle and other associated ads-on's. I took it out to the lake smooth calm water turn bars to the left and turn left. Turn bars to the right and all the way right, still going straight. I know there are methods to turn but it never moved right unless I leaned it over. Any ideas??

Sounds like the steering cable is broken

Ok so I hold the nozzle and turn the bars the nozzle moves well enough I can overpower myself. When in the water is under load no right turn unless leaning over.

I used to deal with that on Kawasaki tune & services when
they were new. In fact a lot of the models had that problem.

Sea Doo's also, but nothing more than an adjustment.

3 possibilities (listed from easiest first). (1). Use a metric bottoming
tap to cut a few more threads on each of the steering cable's
brass ends. (2). Cut about a 1/4" off the steering cable and
readjust the cable ends. (3) A combo of both, but only ~1/8"
on the cable. (#2 &#3 will require a metric die to fix the threads).

Adjust the cable with the handle bars down, set the handle bars
straight, adjust the steering nozzle so that it is straight. Usually
both cable ends must be bottomed out.

Like all watercraft, steering depends on how much throttle is
    applied, and steering cable adjustment.

Sorry, I don't remember what the tap size is, but the brass cable
ends were not machined with deep enough threads.

    Re: X2 Not turning right

If your X2 has direct steer (no squirrel cage) the cable will bend going in one direction. Not sure which way I all ways stayed away from direct steers but Rad Dudes makes a repair kit that works well. https://www.raddudesfreestyleinnovat...er-sta-fix-kit Maybe reach out to them and ask.

My 650sx is doing the same thing. The steering cable is frayed/breaking on mind. It's still connected so the nozzle turns the bars when out of water, but under load the cable bends at the weak spot and you cant turn right. Since it's still in one piece it allows for a left turn (pull direction).

Inspect the cable. It could also be just be bending like fastcar said.
