Question regarding Photo #10 of the Exhaust Port:
At the Bottom of the Exhaust Port, there is a "Step" caused by the Sleeve to Cast misalignment. Did the Sleeve get ported & blended to the Cast or is this how it is currently running?
I ask because a "Step" will reduce Flow Performance...

So great question both my 6mm and 8mm triple ports have it. And this engine specific came like this after miller changed sleeves. No it’s not a mismatch, it’s like this due to the extra ports won’t create enough pressure in the c. Chamber thus they make main exhaust with this at bottom side to stop loosing lows. Highs you won’t loose any rpm from that. And also due to the stroke if you remove it piston skirt won’t cover that spot. Due to the 4mm piston going higher.

Nice looking engine!
Did you have the 8 (long) cylinder studs custom made, or was that
something Miller made?

IMO, this is more important. All kinds of problems occur on reed
engines (depending on the engine) if that gap is too big.
But the miss-match of the piston @ bdc to the exhaust port (sleeve
height) is something Kawasaki featured on the 1986 KX250. But in this
case (KX) the entire exhaust port was shifted upwards ~4-5mm.

Are those Boost Bottles (connected to the intake) in the picture
2nd from the bottom?

Finding new studs for the PJS Super Cylinder was difficult
(impossible), I thought if they were custom made you might
have a source (vendor) for other studs.
