87 440 Stator Test Ohm Readings

Been trying to locate the source of a no spark on my ski. I tested the coil using my volt meter and that seems to be in spec with ohms. The stop switch is working. I disconnected that and same no spark. Also tested continuity on the switch. All good there. My next test is the stator but I have not been able to find the exact readings I should see for my ski.
I have read on here the Exciter should be 100-180 or 216-324. Which on should it be?
Pulser should be 14.4-21.6 or 20-30. Which one should it be?

Disconnect stopper relay in e box , black wire with white chaser if stator is good to test it

Thanks Bionic. I will try the stop relay as you suggested also. The specs you posted show for a 550. Is that the same for the 440?

Yes same same , GI , all same , now the 1980 and down are different , but will still work with your ebox , different flywheels on FC 440/400 engines

Bionic, did a test with my meter and got .14 on red to black and 0.01 on red to gray. Not what I was hoping to see but just to make sure I am doing this correctly. My meter is on 20k ohms setting. My e-box and battery are not in the ski. Is this correct or does the box and battery need to be hooked up minus the stator wires of course to be able to check them.

Sounds like a bad stator , disconnected from box to test stator is correct , no battery necessary

Set your meter at 200 (not 20K) and check again.

I've known Rob for many years. Funny how his 'stock' racing skis were always faster than every other stock ski!
