    800 Doo IS BACK!!

    Well his ski is anyway! HA!

    I'm Nate G from Mesa, AZ. Just picked up 800 Doo's SPX S/S boat from basically a yard sale. I wasn't really looking for another complete ski as I just purchased a trio recently (96XP, 97SPX, and a Kawi stand up). Right place, right time I guess.
    Do I race = NO
    Have I ever = NO, not skis anyway
    What brings me here = I've missed my skis ever since I sold both of my X4s back in 2007.
    Do I know "800 Doo"? = Nope! Only figured out that I have his old ski by looking through old posts for information on the discontinued parts.

    Nice find!

    Appears to be a Coffmanís pipe, aftermarket head(use a compression tester for the psi numbers in each cylinder), Skat Trak nozzles(canít see if itís a Skat Magnum pump or not), UMI billet steering system, UMI handle bars, single gauge purple hood(no mirrors), plugged water box, R&D trim tabs, water injection for the Coffman pipe, BuckShot BRM billet carbs(47mm?), Jettrim custom non-slip seat cover with +3Ē foam rise race seat, K&N free flow flame arrestors(air filters), rom/hour meter(red wire wrapped around the spark plug wire; canít see the hour meter unit), possible dual cooling on the aftermarket head, drop nozzle unit due to the clutch handle on the left side of the handle bars, UMI billet start/stop switch holder, ODI(?)Lock-On grip holders, custom spark plug caps, possible Case and cylinder porting, etc.

    Do you know if it starts and idles?

    Are you going to ride it, then sell it?

    Are you going to sell it outright?

    Are you going to part it out?



    Edit: What is the silver toggle switch connected to? What does it Do(o)?

    Pretty much all of the above! One wrapped wire is for the hour meter/tach, and the other is for the MicroTouch water injection that came with the Coffman pipe (I'm just learning about race ski stuff). Magnum 14 vein pump. The motor is supposed to be a Group K build.

    Drained and refilled the gas (yes with 110), cleaned the carbs, replaced a few few lines, and she runs pretty darn well!

    I definitely have some fine tuning to do. I got it to spin 7720 RPMs at the lake on Sunday, so that's a plus!
