No better at Mead. Feds are going to declare a water emergency, maybe all the California folks will finally have to conserve like we have for 20 years.

DAMN! I wish we could give some to you guys. Most of our boat launches and half the parking lots are STILL under water! One big campground completely closed, the road to it is under water!

    Controlled by Money.

Plenty of water up here, we got 1 inch in about 20 minutes yesterday. More last night, and more today. I let my shower run for 10 minutes before I get in sometimes.

aint about conservation, its all mismanagement AND the enormous growth of Vegas and Henderson. Ca, drought, the fact that lake powell is a sponge of a lake made entirely of sandstone are just the sprinkles on the cake

Part of it is. CA has always gotten the largest share by far, and they need their allotment trimmed considerably. Yes the Las Vegas Valley has grown over the years but we have yet to use our allotment fully in any year, plus we return everything except irrigation to Lake Mead and our entire runoff goes there too. We have banked several years of allotment doing this. CA can not say the same.
There was a push several years ago to "Fill Mead First" due to the fact you stated that Powell loses 10s of thousands of acre-feet into the sandstone, and Mead is much different, but the Feds never allowed that to happen, a bad decision.

All the cities in the middle of the desert. There is only so much water, and still growing. Other cities under sea level, stuff built and rebuilt in flood areas. I have camped under a dam with water flowing through the face, we dont make the best decisions for how smart we are.
