I also threw in a timing advance from John zigler along with many other parts on the ski, conversion plate, ebox plate, quick steer and a couple others Iím forgetting. I also picked up a bored and blueprinted pump and put a brand new skat 18 in. The ski was tons of fun but next summer Iím hoping to get a little more out of it. So Iím picking up a 94 750sx with a group k ported engine and gonna shine that up and do some painting to make it pretty, Iíll also be swapping to a coffmans 3 piece, supertrapp waterbox, moving exhaust exit to right front below the rail, and swapping to a single sbn44 on westcoast manifold to help out my bottom end. Iím planning to run a 3738 cdi if itís safe with the timing advance and hoping to have this thing ripping. My engine bay got pretty dirty towards the end of the season so while everything is out Iíll be spraying that white. Hereís a couple pictures with the engine being the last thing ready to pull out!
What were the carb settings when you ran the dual 40ís? Havenít been able to get mine to run consistently. Wants to die when a hold 1/4 throttle or less but runs good other wise

Hey Zreno, I see you removed the stock rear sponsons and put tubbies on. What kind of GPS speed are you seeing? How's the high speed straight line tracking? How much better is the overall feel with the tubbies. I've just got my Tigersaki up and running and starting to tune on it a bit. In stock configuration WITH the rear sponsons it is VERY sketchy handling in the mid 40's.

I can’t remember the carb settings off the top of my head. I had it tuned to roughly 1/4 out on the lows and 1 to 1and a quarter on the high. Those carbs were such a pita. Single mikuni is a lot easier

    Re: 550/750 winter cleanup

I haven’t gps’d the ski yet, the stock rear sponson removal made the ski way more fun to ride and easier to lay over in turns. I was getting really comfortable riding the ski with no tubbies and man those things make a huge difference. Ski tracks like crazy going straight and in turns. Riding these skis over 45 is no fun for me as I’ve kartwheeled enough between these and bare footing haha. My ski with the 750 pump and a 14/17 skat(I think) maybe 13/18 Solas keeps up with a new 1500 until what seems like the last couple miles an hour the 1500 will pull on mine. Not as sketchy as you’ve mentioned but that could all be comfort levels. My hull is trued last summer as well. Ditch the rear sponsons either way, let me know how it works
