How to test overheating buzzer 94...750 slt

Hello all..once again I have general question. Is there a way to test the buzzer? I got this ski used and ran it yesterday and felt around the water exhaust area in the motor. Was warm but okay to touch. But I still want to test the buzzer. Since there is no gauge

I think many models did not have a buzzer but would limit RPM and give a visual alert on the display. If yours did not come with a display it may have a buzzer. The temperature switch simply provides a path to ground when the temperature is too high. I think it has a tan wire. You can find its connection inside the electrical box and jumper between it and ground and see what response you get. You may have to start the engine for it to be active.

That will test everything except the switch itself. If you want to test it you will have to remove it and heat it in water while measuring resistance and water temperature to see what temperature it closes at.

Would there be a way to add a temp gage? I see the brass fitting on top of the water pipe..opposite side of the carbs..I don't know the proper name for this pipe tho
