The domes are different and the bore diameters are different.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

got the top end off, crank looks good, sleeves arent scored, pistons are dirty, rings are worn, but everything else is ready to rebuild, i took my intake man off to blast it, if anyone knows the correct way to paint a ski engine, in pieces or once its built and all put together?20201108_175237.jpg20201108_175248.jpg20201108_175314.jpg20201109_124236(1).jpg20201109_124240(1).jpg20201109_124243(1).jpg20201109_124246(1).jpg20201109_124253.jpg

That manifold is junk. Look how that fly cutter dug into the pto exhaust flange, it looks like the tool came loose and the feed kept going.

Re: X2/900 build
Be sure you keep as much foam in the hood as possible and a perfect hood seal as these triple motors make it super easy to sink
Also add some more ways to get air in for the engine to breathe
You will need a blister for the rear carb to clear the hull and when you fall to the right you can dump water into the carb... I know this!
