I am a new owner of a 94 Waverunner III and have some questions

    Hi,
I recently purchased a 94 WR3 that needs a bit of work. I don't have the owners manual either. It has a fuel gauge that I doubt works, can this simply be removed by unplugging the wires or will it create a problem? Besides the wiring harness, it also has a black hose that goes down to the vicinity of the oil tank but does not connect to anything, anyone know where that should go when properly connected? I also had a small plastic tube that was inside the jet pump towards the rear that snapped off and I don't know what it's for
    Thanks

Iím thinking the small plastic tube is for the vertical spray. They used to use a part that bolted in the steering nozzle and they often broke. I just removed the one on my 92 VXR. I photo would help us confirm.

No clue on the fuel gauge.

Someone else might be able to identify the hose by the oil tank from your description but a photo would go a long way here too.

I think you are right that the black piece is for the vertical stream
the other photo shows the hose from the fuel gauge

The rear piece is confirmed, you can remove It if you like. I didnít realize that the hose you were describing was part of the fuel gauge...I have no idea. Maybe someone else can help.

It goes to nothing. It's a breather so the gauges don't fog up. The electronics don't care if you completely remove the fuel gauge. Also check out the sender. The floats commonly get rotted or ate up by ethanol fuel and dump black crap all into the fuel tank. If that happens I just cut the float assembly off near the top with a pair of cutters, clean the tank, and put the cap with stub back in place.

The vertical stream pipe in the picture isn't broken Thats how it's supposed to be. Water enters from the jet stream and shoots it up.
