    Kawasaki TS650 lost spark

Ive recently had a TS650 given to me with a melted harness. It had let go and melted on the muffler. I re-wired the harness and had it running. It worked perfectly for about 10 minutes and lost spark. I checked through the wiring and didn't find a break. I hauled the engine and checked the stator, which checked out fine according to the values I found online.

Is there a way to check the CDI coil box, or the rectifier box? All the tests I found have different color wires listed in them. Is there a chance the stator could be bad even if the resistance checks out?

    Re: Kawasaki TS650 lost spark

I crossed referenced a diagram I found off this forum with my wire colors and made a new diagram. Please excuse the handmade job as all i could find was pencil crayons.

Here is the wiring diagram i found:

Here is the diagram I made through cross referencing:

On my machine i think the stop relay switch and CDI Igniter are combined? The black wire off the magneto is bonded to the magneto frame and not any of the coils.

the wires I have left to attach are:

Black wire off magneto: Attach to red wire on rectifier like in first diagram?

Red / Blue Wire on rectifier: I put a fuse on this wire, is it necessary? also attach to the Red / Yellow wires from Start button and starter relay?

Red wire on Start Button: Attach to red wire on Starter Relay?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, would love to have a bit of fun on this machine before fall sets in!
