Cost to rebuild a Yamaha MR1 motor?

Curious if this is possible and what it will cost. Are new cam and rod bearings available? New cranks? I'm very mechanically inclined and can rebuild just about anything, but I'm more so trying to grasp the cost of rebuilding one of these motors my self. The motor in question will have rusted cylinder walls and bearing journals. Likely rusted valves and guides as well. It's been filled with water for almost 2 weeks. Again, I'm not afraid of the work, just the cost. I'm new to four-stroke skis.

Re: Cost to rebuild a Yamaha MR1 motor?

Hi, i am just finished with a fx140 mr1 engine, i bought only Yamaha original parts, they have 0,50 oversized pistons, and all the parts you need. I am from Sweden so its more expensive here, gakets 350, bearings 10 per pair, pistons 100 plus rings 70, drilling 300, the head was taken apart but only neded to clean, spent 500 on it because there are shims for each valve, a motorcykle repair shop helped me, now when i know better i should have cleaned it myself because they were not so bad, stainless steel??? Ther are no bearings for the cam. It is an easy engine to rebuild, there is a repair manual online i found, maybe i can link it
