    650SX/44mm SBN Throttle Cable Bracket?

All the throttle cable brackets I am seeing appear to be for top pull like an X2, but the 650 SX stock throttle cable comes in from the bottom and the intake manifold I have doesn't have a bracket. What is everybody using for a throttle cable bracket when converting to a 44mm SBN and where to purchase?

Chris, Hot Products has a couple different brackets available for different applications

Hey Jon, those are some of the ones I was looking at. I see the diaphragm cover mount and fuel pump mount, but I can't tell if any of them would work with bottom pull? I don't have the boat here to make something so that's out...

I have seen the 750SX bracket (the one that bolts to the front motor mount) but they also used a 750SX cable. It works but never liked the extra cable you have to wrap around the motor to work.

I suppose the stock cable could be re-routed to be a top pull? Not sure exactly how that would work since I don't have the boat here and maybe not as sanitary an installation as I would like... Or if I could find an intake from back in the day specifically for a 650SX with built in throttle bracket maybe??

Chris, what about one of the multi-hole throttle wheels? Then you can use the stock bracket (I looked and its the same one that bolts to the motor mount like 750SX).

I have a couple of the bed plate mounted ones if you have the cable length to reach up to the carb, one of them is a Westcoast version.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Re: 650SX/44mm SBN Throttle Cable Bracket?

This one is going from the stock 28mm carb to the 44SBN and I am thinking that would work. I have not been in a 650SX engine compartment in a long time and had forgotten about the stock bedplate mount...

    Thanks guys!

Next question... What about a flame arrestor? Any clearance issues on the 650SX with a standard PROK or Tau Ceti style flame arrestor?
