    Pro Watercraft pump stuffers

Anybody have a pump stuffer from Pro Watercraft in their ski? Is it worth the $75?

Never tried a pump stuffer like this but we reduced and filled the shaft tunnel in the pumps of all our vintage skis, and it makes a noticeable difference in hook up. You can search "X2 drive shaft fill" to see the easy process. A short piece of PVC, some epoxy and a little sanding and paint (appliance epoxy is my choice) is all that is needed.

PS...the rule book will be in my 550 pump

Damn, super easy and looks like it would do about the same thing for way less than $75......thanks!!

Always wondered what the difference was between the stuffer and shaft fill. Performance wise.

I'd be interested in the difference as well. I did the shaft tunnel fill on my '89 X2 but was wondering if the stuffer would be any different. Definitely didn't cost me $75 to do it myself!

Same here. I did so many other changes that I can't tell how much it affected anything.

So I went the tunnel fill route but used schedule 80 pipe so it fit the driveshaft a tad tighter than schedule 40. Epoxied tube in place, filled/sanded, and repainted. Curious what gains I will see!
