May have found the mechanical parts for the powervalve. I thought they were just some old mechanical trim parts but something told me to grab it just in case20200420_141516.jpg

Yep, that would be them. If it were me I would have someone disassemble the box and document the circuit. Would have came in handy when I had one of the twin PV motors.

The small box is wide open in the back if you remove the metal plate theirs some kind of computer chips in it. The actuator box is broke, all I mainly see in there is gears.

The cdi is open as well with what looks to be other chips added in it.

    Re: Ultimate barn find

Pretty cool stuff. This is the closest I have seen to a functional 1100PV parts wise. There was a bunch of 1100pv castings which sold a number of years ago, and I personally saw some of these and a complete engine. Nothing I saw had any powervalve parts or controllers.

I wonder if that tag was from some sort of auction? Interesting designation Xi-R2. Wonder what the 2 is from.

Cool find, keep the pictures coming. Oh and by the way, Kawasaki doesn't care about this anymore. This is the jet ski world's equivalent of F1 tech from the 90s. Cool but obsolete. When it was all set up and running well back in the day though these skis would have been beasts. Especially a triple pipe, powervalve 1100. It might be interesting to post up some dimensions of those triple pipes too.
