Thread: Hydro 1100

    Hydro 1100

I'm dumb, so I figured I'd start building another money pit.

stocker 1100 for GP3 class in JetJam 2020.

All stock 1100, maybe a head and carbs later. Running CDK2 Keihin's with 78/120 jetting. Should be interesting figuring out popoff with aftermarket flame arrestors.

What's the final word on removing the factory crossover tube in the intake manifold on the 1100?

Picked it up in havascrew friday night. I felt it was a great deal for me, and a fair deal for the seller on the random conglomeration of parts I ended up with, mostly I am stoked on the thinned 1100 ebox with ultra 150 coils.

The hull, motor, and driveline is complete minus a pump that I have already ordered. Probably going to call Skat for a swirl recommendation. I have had the best luck (obviously super unscientific) with swirl hookup on standups. They just GO when you hit that throttle.

Right now without an impeller, drive couplers, flame arrestors, and random gaskets I am at $3425 since ya'll nosy.

If you are running the accelerator pump on the stock CDKII Carbs then there is no need to alter the pop off with aftermarket flame arrestors. If you ditch the crossover tubs you will have to jet down.

What cdk2 carbs are the best to run? I have a normal set, and an accelerator pump set. The accelerator pump set has 3 jets, and extra one way valves and such.

    Re: Hydro 1100

I ran a set of two jet accelerator pump ones on my SXR 1100 and had no issues with them at stock jetting with flame arrestors. Cross over tube was left intact. The set up ripped. I have since gone to a triple rack of SXR 800 carbs and itís even better. Itís a pretty stock setup other than timing advance, dried out pipe with stinger sprayer and 60 thou base gasket. I didnít know that three jet accelerator pump triple carbs existed.
Youíll love the Hydro with an 1100 in it. Far superior in my opinion to the stock hulled SXR 1100ís. Itís like a poor mans aftermarket hull. I love the way they handle. Keep the rear tank for sure. Donít spoil the Hydros excellent handling and balance with a front fuel tank.

Go figure, I picked up an 1100 hydro in Socal last week complete but motor was seized... already picked up another motor for it yesterday. I am in the same boat with the carbs though... Ill have to keep an eye on your thread. I took the year off from racing jetjam due mainly to work. It'd give me more motivation to race the gp3 class next year if there are two of us hydros out there
