It also looks like the left rear corner will be good for mounting the e-box.

    Re: Another 640 Tigersaki build

This exhaust chamber mounting boss on the exhaust manifold got removed to gain a bit of clearance where the e-box will be mounted.

    Re: Another 640 Tigersaki build

I had some scrap 3/8" thick aluminum diamond plate with 1/8" tall tread.........that's 1/2", perfect!

So here is the mocked up plate spacers. Arrow points to a beveled edge. This needs done so the spacer sits flush in the 550 plate.

Those are the oem Tigershark mount bolts.

    Re: Another 640 Tigersaki build

And when the 550 mount plate is bolted on, the rear spacer bolt heads sit right inside that plate lip.....out of the way.

The other 2 oem Tigershark mount bolts go through the stock 550 rear plate holes and into the tapped holes on the spacer plate. They happen to come out into void areas under the Shark case touching nothing.

And the 550 plate just got redrilled up front. Some m10x1.25 bolts about 1/4" longer than the other 4 go straight through the plate, spacer, and into the Shark case.

    Re: Another 640 Tigersaki build

And sitting down in the 550 hull you can see the rear mount holes are good and the couplers lined up nice!!

Maybe more in a week, stay tuned........

    Re: Another 640 Tigersaki build

Ok, sorry. It's memorial weekend and I got swamped at my shop with dead skis. I'll need to catch up there before I can get any more done.

Sorry everyone, just been so busy.

Water fitting on the exhaust manifold will need to be stubby to clear the hood.

    Re: Another 640 Tigersaki build

The oem Tigershark expansion chamber lays right by the engine, not touching the hull or bedplate. And the stinger points right out towards the stock 550 waterbox.
