A few teaser pictures of the nearly finished product. Still needs a wash and wax. Hopefully someone will be excited to win her on May 30th.

Haven't gotten the 95 SN in the water yet...we had ice until last week, but she is ready to be tested and tuned.

I went through her yesterday to compile the list of mods/updates that have been included/done:

    Bilge pump/blowsion bracket
Full PSI stainless pipe, 701 61x port matched
    MSD plug boots
    Fox River PWC Ultimate Underpadding
    AGM battery
    Blowsion pole spring
    New pole bushings, epoxied in
    Blowsion sealed bearing steering
    Blowsion zero degree bars
    Blowsion throttle
ODI grips with JB 2020 bar clamps
    Blowsion handlepole limiting rope
Hull sides carbon fiber reinforced by Joe B
    Bilge painted with Bilgkote
    Blowsion Destroyer Tubbies
    Blacktip turf
    Ocean Pro steering nozzle
    Skat-Trak impeller
    Tucker Rocky extended ride plate
Modified and shimmed VXR intake grate

At current market prices, that's about $1500 worth of nice extras on this Squarenose, for the parts only, not including my labor, which is worthless anyhow

Maiden voyage today. Sorry for the crappy camera work. Not my thing.

Well, thanks to unconstitutional dictates from our gov, everyone can forget about winning this 95 SN this year. As the election will be over in November, I am much more confident that our state's puppet dictator will be allowed by his handlers to allow JB21 to go off without any major hitches, and hopefully the CWCAC Food Panty - and all of the needy children and families they provide for - can survive as well.

Re: BJP Prize Ski Build - Holy Grail Squarenose - Jet Blast 2020 Wisconsin Dells Free

I've been updating about this raffle prize SN on fb, but have been forgetting to also do so here.
As the 2020 raffle was not able to occur, that allowed me to spend a lot of extra time last summer on this SN, and I'm glad for that, as this PSI pipe tunes very differently than every other pipe I've installed/tuned over the past 3 decades. Don't let the looks fool you. Based upon everything I experienced firsthand, and the evidence of this pipe being created for the 650 SJ, I would assume that PSI was attempting to take a yami 650 motor and get it to rev and make more top end power. I have a lot of detailed notes I kept along the way, which the winner of the ski is welcome to, but the short summary is: Even with the port matched manifold, if you bolt this PSI pipe to a 61x and treat it similarly to a Riva red, Pro-tec, b-pipe, etc...as far as tuning and water management goes, what you wind up with is decent mid to top end power, but you lose all the bottom end snap (as in worse than a stock Yami breadbox), and the transition from nothing to all is much too abrupt and delayed compared to the throttle position. Essentially, you wind up with a pipe/setup that loves to stay revved up, and would probably be OK for racing, but not so much for rec riding - actually not at all, LOL. Fortunately, I used the time I had to think, evaluate and experiment a fair amount, and I'm happy to say it now is a really strong rec ski. The bottom end is now better than a stock breadbox, the transition happens lower down and is now much more manageable, and mid and top end pull is very nice. It's not Riva red or B-pipe nice, but it's certainly better than stock, and it sounds very unique, which is cool. The winner of this ski isn't going to find other SJs on the beach that sound like it.

Oh, and after putting a few tanks of premix through this SN, I really like the overall setup as far as the Destroyer tubbies, blowsion steering and bars, and the Ocean Pro steering nozzle. She is precise and stable, and very run to ride.

Saturday, June 5th, 2021 is the day. Be at Jet Blast if you want a chance to make this ski yours.

Well that was an exciting event, and the Super Jet went to a very happy and deserving new owner. Can't ask for more than that.
