    Do you cover when traveling?

Noob question here. Getting ready for my first road trip with my ski. Since I just travel to local areas, I never see anyone use a cover when traveling, only when parked. What about longer road trips.....are covers a good idea or not?

A cover vibrating in the wind can real mess up your ski, boat, etc. It is also hard on the cover, 70mph is almost hurricane force. 74mph, sustained, is the low end of the hurricane definition.
2, 1998 TS 770 L, restored and running great. (Except for the one with engine that SBT put the WRONG crankshaft bearing into and is now sitting as I collect repair parts)

I always trailer my skis with covers. Kawasaki vacuhold. Been doing it almost 20 years n never had problems. Covers on sit downs go down under the nose and your winch hook goes thru. On sxr it keeps you pole down

Short trips 100 miles no, long trips 1400 miles yes. Make sure its a custom fit cover, a generic cover can flap in the wind causing scuffs to the ski.

Thanks for all the input. I did in fact cover and sure glad I did....mixed road and weather conditions...I now know that if I travel beyond my 'hood, I will cover.

I always have my Seadoos covered with the OEM custom fit covers. They go on super tight so they don’t flap in the wind.
