Help with Ultra 150 Throttle position sensor

Hi, Could anyone help me with setting the TPS on a 2002 Ultra 150 please? I suspect it may be out of sync but I don't know the correct procedure for re-setting it. Thankyou!

I am curious why you suspect the TPS?

    Bill M.

    I also have a manual.

Re: Help with Ultra 150 Throttle position sensor

Hi Bill, I'm just trying to rule it out. Long story short I've had issues with the ultra feeling flat off the bottom and generally not being as quick as it should. I've chased it with a pump and impeller rebuild, full crank up engine re build, just had the carbs in the ultra sonic cleaner and rebuilt them with new o-rings in the rails etc etc.
Basically pretty much all I have left is the TPS, The fuel pump, or an air leak on fuel delivery side I think.
Just want to tick the TPS off the suspect list. Thanks.

That "sensor" has nothing to do with running.

Its there to raise the idle when the handlebars are turned. Disconnect it.

I was under the impression it advances timing based on throttle position for rapid increase of throttle. Mine is a 2002 and have never noticed it having smart steer.
We're talking about the shaft through the carbs to the sensor mounted on the fuel pump?
