    CDKII experts welcome

Rebuilt carbs on my 1996 zxi 1100 and bought a new accelerator pump diaphragm, Iím still noticing a heavy hesitation and sometimes stalling when pinning throttle from idle.

After some research I found a thread speaking about a U ring (#51) on this link https://www.jetsrus.com/carburetor/c...iew_parts.html

diaphragm I bought didnít come with u ring, and old diaphragm didnít have it.

diaphragm has a groove at bottom of it and definitely looks like a u ring could go on it but Iím just not sure. Also on the service manual for the ski it does not show this u ring on carb diagram.

    https://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/o...r-jh1100-a1-a2
    shows no u ring

anyone have any experience with these carbs and the part Iím talking about?

Yes I did, but this part is in the Accelerator pump housing not the fuel pump

Have had for 2 years. Have done a lot of work to it. I sprayed wd40 at carbs looking for a airleak and didn’t come up with any. I’m thinking maybe the O RING at the accelerator pump might be bad causing a leak there. Gunna take a look tomtotow. My main question is if this u ring is really suppose to be there or not. And if it’s suppose to go on the shaft or inside the housing.

The usual air leak is cylinder base gasket , they are spring steel with no sealer , spray on exhaust side , see if it changes idle or kills the engine

Last set of these carbs I did last month took 4 hours to to get everything perfect , no bleed off when checkin pop off on each carb. You really have to want to fix these carbs to get them perfect , including accelerator pump circuit
