    95 slt 750 issues

Been chasing gremlins in this pos since my buddy got it. Issue after issue after issue.
Rebuilt carbs with new jetting, since stock jetting seemed to be wrong (according to its lack of performance, and several threads I've read on here), new fuel lines, new stator since the wires inside the wrap shorted and fried the whole harness, new restrictor in return line, since there was none it it. I put a 90 in.
    Was 165/165/120psi
Pto piston had seized rings, so new piston and rings on pto.

Going to pull the pump and make sure there's no obstructions tomorrow.

Took it out and it only ruus at about 1/4 throttle. But my buddy said if he pulled the choke, it would come to life for a sec, then back to 1/4 power.
    That means it's lean somewhere?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Polaris Fuji's were known for fuel related issues, but -No need to change the internal carb jets. Their biggest issue is delivery problems, mostly due to an inadequate single outlet fuel pump.

When you rebuilt the carbs, did you use genuine Mikuni brand kits, or aftermarket?

You NEED to go through the fuel system completely, replace ALL fuel lines, fuel select switch, and upgrade to a triple outlet fuel pump. When doing the fuel lines, make sure you do not loose, and you do re-use the fuel return restrictor in the return fuel line.

Really you should also do a leak down test, as with ANY PWC engine of this age, it is possible you have bad crank seals etc.

    Re: 95 slt 750 issues

    Thanks for the response, John.
So yes, I did replace all the fuel lines, and installed a new triple outlet fuel pump. There was no restrictor in the return line, so I put a 90 main jet in (per several threads I've read). I haven't replaced the fuel selector, but I did pull it and clean it out really well.
And when rebuilding carbs, I use genuine mikuni parts.

I'll pull fkn carbs and redo the jetting again. Uugh...

I'm not sure how to do a leak down test. Do I need to rent anything for that?

If you happen to have the stock jetting specs, that'd be helpful. I can't remember what they are, and can't find a chart for that.
And is a 90 main jet good for the return line?

    Re: 95 slt 750 issues

Going by memory, I think you need a 60 main jet for the return.

Go to www.greenhulk.net LOTS of information there in the Polaris section. Sorry, I do not know stock jetting off the top of my head.
