    Connecticut River, Haddam Meadows Launch

Hi Guys, I took a ride by the Haddam Meadows lunch Saturday late afternoon. Holy cow what a mess, there is very large tree's all over plugging up the ramp. There was a couple guys that had a chain saw and cut up some of the trees and dragged them out of the way so half the ramp was accessible. I'm thinking this might be common early in the season but wondering how long it takes Ct DEEP to get it cleaned out and get the two docks back in the water ?? Anyone familiar with how this goes ??
Looking forward to a new season on the water.
    Thanks, Dave from Durham

Thanks for the reply dorny. Me being new to the whole Jet Ski world and Haddam Meadows is the closest launch, that's the only ramp I have used. What are the local lakes you use ?? I have been by the Baldwin Bridge launch and that is all clear and looks normal.

I ride on moodus reservoir (speed limit is 30mph but you can get away with ripping), and Bashan Lake. The launches are not super pretty. The water in Moodus Res is murky, while the water at bashan is crystal clear.

Was out on Saturday 6/01 and the launch was all cleaned up. Still some logs floating as expected but was fine for riding, went down to Essex then came back, hung at Haddam Island for a while. Water was not even that cold. Great time

Hey Dorny, got a question on Moodus Reservoir, where the beach is, can a ski pull up there or close to there to get people on and off a ski ?? I have family members that want to hang out on the beach and then go for rides on the lake. I see the main ramp is close to that beach (looking at google maps). Thinking about hitting that place on a Sunday, Saturdays will be on the river. Let me know if you can, Tks !!

Hey Dave! Yes, you can pull up to the more grassy area near the parking lot! I do that same exact thing with family!

Thanks Bud, appreciate the info. Will be hitting that place on the next nice Sunday. Hopefully there is enough parking at the launch. Was on the river on Saturday, crazy windy and conditions. Selden Cove was really cool, first time I was down there. Will be jumping off those rocks once it gest a little warmer.
