    kawasaki 650sx

Any Kawasaki 650sx riders left out there. I have been riding since 1989 mainly my x-2 bought an old kaw 650sx a couple years ago fore a good price. I cant keep the front end in the water for nothing. It has a west coast ride plate that is about 15.50 inches long, I know everyone says jet dynamics I don't want to spend 200 on an old ski I was looking at an ocean pro race plate for about $ 80 its a little over 16 inches I believe. Would the ocean pro keep the front end in the water. Some input would be helpful Thank You.

Extended plate, and a good top loader type scoop will help as well. Shim the plate rear mounts with stainless washers to increase nose pressure.

Straight bars will help you get forward more. If you can find an aftermarket shorter pole would help.

Tray time will also help. The 650sx is kinda it's own animal.

I just purchased a stock ride plate that had about 3 inches welded to the back this is supposed to help. I have not tried it yet because the wayer is to cold. I also noticed any bigger guys over 200lbs that ride my ski the nose really comes up

I am going to buy this plate that Pro watercraft sells here soon when I get my 650sx out. If you look closely the whole width of the plate is extended past the bond line then tapers. You can see it in the video in the link.

I am actually having the same issue.. After taking it out I moved positions several times, the porpoising stops if I put all my weight up front and my hips on the pole "not fun"...I have a rend ride plate with removable fins and from what I understand an aggressive 3 scoop Fischer grate..think of getting jet dynamics ride plate or extending the rend and shimming it with nylon washers.
