    Body Swap

I'm attempting to put all of my current X2 stuff in a new body and remember reading somewhere that the steering was different on older X2s. How can I tell how the steering originally was configured in this body I'm about to use?
750 BP, Westcoast Exhaust, 9-17 Skat, SBN 46, R&D Oring Head, Mariner Intake Grate, UMI Steering and Bars, Dual Cooling, No Waterbox 2 mufflers instead, Block off plates, Bilge, Westcoast Fuel Pickup

    Purchased new in 1991

89-90.5 is direct steer which is a long cable from the back of the engine bay up to the steering stem. 86-88 and 90.5 to 95 are all squirrel cage. The difference of how they look is night and day.
