I didn't notice any torque over, of course the pump doesnt torque lock a prop does, so the only remaining torque over would come from the change in engine RPM effect on the rotating mass, but that's not much. Stock 1100 pump and impeller. I just had enough to do with the rest of the project that I haven't tackled that. May do so in the future. the engine has the stock EFE, ignition and controller with a Ron Francis tune and simplified wiring harness. starts and runs like a stock mustang.

Got a video uploaded of the maiden voyage. I'll get out more when spring arrives to the great pacific NW. (It snowed last week)

Actually that's one of the thoughts that generated the idea. I commute 35 miles a day to work in the summer and it took about 6 or so gallons every day on my GPR1300. It took about 2 gallons in my car and I thought an efficient 4 stroke car engine should be able to power a PWC with close to the same gas as a 4000 lb car. It obviously turned into something else, I can't anchor it at work for fear it may capsize with passing waves. I bought a Spark for that duty and it works great, about 3 gallons/day.

Pump is stock 1100, powdercoated black, stock impeller.

I’m lucky that my house and office are on the Willamette River. My winter commute is 45 minutes to an hour each way of frustration in traffic in the car. Summer commute is the best 30 minutes each way of my day on the Spark, 18 miles down the river from West Linn to Portland, usually glass in the morning, passing geese a dozen or so rowing shells and fisherman. In the afternoon passing rec boats, the occasional ship and folks along the beaches. Arriving at work or at home refreshed and relaxed.

I’ve built several carbon and glass parts w/ molds. Since this cowl is a one off I made some plywood ribs and put them in place on the waverunner deck. I then cut strips of ¾ inch thick high density foam and built a lapstrake type of cowl with that, glued them all to the ribs. Then I temp glued a wood frame to the top of that to keep everything in place. Then I turned the structure over and fiberglassed over the ribs and foam decking on the inside, which gave it some good structure, then I turned it back over on the waverunner deck and sanded the foam top to the final shape, then I glassed all of that, then bondo skim coat, primer and paint or carbon shop ply and a ton of clear. Took a long time.

I like the ironic name “Wavecrusher” when the #1 fear is it capsizing from waves! Ha

                            Excellent creativity and craftsmanship!

That is bad ***, and the work is incredible. Nice job. With that hp, a repitched stainless would make a huge difference, but then again, your already doing 80.
