    Waterbox

I have found numerous threads about a quiet waterbox with good flow but most are really dated. A good one is titled "Poor man's 2 inch exhaust." Has anyone done anything differently as of recent to have a quieter ride? Sounds like a seadoo HX purple waterbox is the way to go because of the 2" diameters, good flow, and it is quieter. Also read that coffman made a silencer. I currently have 750SP with a Westcoast waterbox and pipe which is extremely loud. I'd like to go the HX route but want to check in before I make a decision.

Best waterbox for 700-800cc is the Yamaha GP760 or the WB2. Many were put in seadoos in the 800 racing days. A 701 box from a raider is also very good

My advice if you want cost effective alternative, use a stocker drilled out with modified inlet/outlet to 2”. Probably cost at max $100 if you have a stock box already.

    Re: Waterbox

I am running a purple HX box in my ski and have no major complaints. With the HX box and Factory pipe the 650 actually has a little pep and it sounds less like an angry bumblebee

    Re: Waterbox

I have a westcoast pipe so would the only downfall of not having a complete 2" just be no slight performance gain?

If the motor is unported and/or single carb, just get a stock waterbox and call it a day.

Actually with the west coast pipe too, go stock. Performance of that pipe on a 750 isn't anything special
