There was just somebody on Greenhulk that had a salty wiring harness. Might be able to sell it to them.

Re: 2006 Yamaha FX Cruiser HO (second) rebuild

Hi all - just wanted to close out this thread. Finally got a nice warm weather day to take the ski out on the water. hitched up the trailer and got down the river, started up after 2 secs on the ramp. Then lowered into the water and it was rough starting, wouldn't turn over completely. Odd, I thought. Out of the water and after some coaxing, it was running smoothly. Not sure why. Ran up and down the river at various RPMs, no wake and on plane. kept it under 8k rpm for the entire hour or so on the river. ran smoothly with no sounds or signs of problems. Will be changing the oil and filter over the weekend to see what that shows, will even split the old filter open to see what it caught from the new engine oil. All in all, pretty happy that the long winter repair was successful and I learned a boat-load (pun intended) about motor rebuilds. Thank you very much to all those who followed this thread and provided comment and guidance. I hope my experience is helpful if you own a Yamaha!
