650sx with SBN44 Mikuni primer routing?

I just put an SBN44 on my ski but there appears to be a primer input barb at the top of the carb just below the intake opening with a roughly 1/8 barb, much smaller than the others. I think it's a primer fitting but I can't figure out where to run it?

I've tried searching and that's the only reason I think it's a primer really, but couldn't find an answer where to run it.

    Thank you!

Yes that is for the primer. Your ski will need a primer push plunger or bulb installed to use it. Most install that in place of the choke switch. you will need to T the primer line from the main supply line, then run that to your primer plunger or bulb then run a line from that to the carb. Best to go on watcon or ebay and pick up the kit that has all the pieces you need.

Don't try to run/start it with the fitting open.

Figured as much but was hoping for a different answer. Was hoping to get it going without more parts.

    Thank you

    Now onto the pipe.

Where your choke is in the tray if you still have it buy a primer and from the reserve line input a 3 way valve keep the line going to the fuel shutoff and run the other to the primer that sucks up the gas. Then run it to the top of the carb it should be all the way to top. This will help your ski starting its the best investment you will ever have. I got another 650sx and immediately changed it.
