Do leak down on the #2 cyl.

    Re: 2005 RXP Timing Issues?

Hello, I did a leak down on #2 and felt air coming out of the exhaust. However, I hear air coming from the oil fill cap on all (3) cylinders (leak down). The other cylinders had the higher compression (140psi). Would it be normal to hear some air entering into the crank case?

Sounds like you have an exhaust valve issue for sure on the #2 cyl. Either out of adjustment, bad seat, etc. I am guessing this is where your exhaust backfire is coming from...

    Re: 2005 RXP Timing Issues?

What engine size is it. 155 or 215
All of the 05 engine also have the bad exhaust valves that like to brake off.
if you have a 155 engine 140 is really low compression it should be 180-200 PSI

If you have a 215 compression should be 130-150 or higher

How many hours are on the engine? how long has it sat up ?
