Its sounds like the popoff pressure may be out of whack then, a lot of people rebuild these carbs and replace the spring with the ones that come in the kits, never do that on a stock engine, the springs taht are in the carbs need to stay in them.

OK, now going by your last descriptions, It does sound as if maybe you are "rich".

What is your compression at? Have you tried new plugs? (gap them at .025) Also take the plug boots off and cut the wires back a 1/4" or so. Still could be a carb issue, too low pop off, leaking needle/seat, wrong carbs, etc.

Really at this point it needs to go back in the water run it for a few minutes and pull the plugs, are the electrodes black, paper bag brown or white, if they are black it's too rich, white too lean, paper bag brown just right, one more thing to try is cutting the fuel selector valve to off position, if it's rich just as it starts running out of gas it will rev properly and try to take off.

Thanks everyone for the tips talked to a good friend and was told I needed to definitely change the manifold to the older style so gonna try that and go through the carbs again make sure everything is right also pull the water box and check the baffles. Will definitely let you guys know what it does after the manifold change and double checking everything.

I have personally switched the 1100's to earlier style CDK-II carbs, from the CV without changing the manifold..... Done this many times. Although the 900 may be different

If you want to try, your manifold has a balancer tube that is really just a hose, with brass 90 degree fittings. Take the hose and fittings off, and plug the manifold with brass pipe plugs from the hardware store.
