It depends what's wrong. If it's just a corrosion problem (stuff shorting out because wires/pins are effectively touching) and cleaning fixes that then it's essentially free. A used ebox or voltage regulator will cost ~$100. A ebox restoration by Jet Ski Solutions runs $335 but doesn't include any new major components: http://www.jetskisolutions.com/p14_k...n_service.html

SBT has a new voltage regulator for $151: https://www.watercraftsuperstore.net...1066-3709.html (not sure if this is the exact one your year/model uses).

There could be water intrusion damage as well, or even damage caused by a failed front seal or even a bendix spewing metal shavings.
I tried to test the stator tonight (based on another thread). Readings are below:
    blue / green = .475k ohm
    red / purple = .407k ohm
    brown / brown = 1.0 ohm (?)

Woa! This is a battery problem right? Don't worry about the whole stator. Concentrate on the charge coil only. Brown to ground and brown to ground. That is the charging system.
I think your rectifier is burned out and the battery is being drained by the coil in the stator when you shut it off. If you check the battery when it is running you are probably getting AC voltage to the battery.

PS If anyone touched the battery backwards with the leads and the fuse did not blow. it roasted the rectifier

Is this a bad idea? $45 on amazon. Not OEM, but looks like a pretty simple part.amazon.png

I owned a jet ski dealership from 1978 to 1996. If you can get factory buy factory. For 20 years I watched people step over dollars to pick up dimes.

    Re: Battery Draining

Feeling good that my parasitic drain is resolved — huge “thank you” to all that assisted me! Found some time Friday to swap out the voltage regulator, and the draw is gone (0.00 vs 0.07), and the battery is holding steady for a few days at 12.64 voltage.
