Fabricating Your Own High Performance Cone Pipe

Upon hearing that one of my favorite Two-Stroke Heroes, Tim Tynan of TNT Performance, Master Two-Stroke Engine and Master Cone Pipe Builder will no longer fabricate those super cool exotic Cone Pipes, it's time to find talented new Craftsmen, Machinists and Welders that can carry the Torch for the next generations.

To this endeavor, I'm sharing the following:

Since the hardest part of Cone Pipe Fabrication is rolling the flat sheet metal into Cones(an Art in itself and very time-consuming), you can order them ready made at http://www.coneeng.com/conical_products.html

Awesome post! I've been thinking of making a custom pipe for a 750 build I'm planning and this should help the design a lot.

Another way of fabricating a Pipe is called Hydro-Forming.

It involves making the Chamber out of two flat pieces, welding them together and pressurizing the flat Chamber to its final round shape. You could make a B Mod Chamber this way.

Same method is used to repair dented Pipes.

Instead of a Pressure Washer, you can use a Manual Hydrostatic Test Pump:http://perfectoproducts.net/hydro-static-test-pumps/

Have you ever priced the cones from cone engineering, I have they are ridiculous , you would go broke very quickly on a pipe design such as TNT pipe.

I included the Price List for all to see. Just posting different ways of fabricating Pipe Chambers for any enterprising Craftsmen.

Cones are rolled manually and take a lot of skill and time to make. Either pay for pre-fab Cones or spend the Time making them. Time = Money. No free Lunch...

Cheapest method of fabrication is the Hydro-Forming Method, once one figures out how to size the Template for the correct final size and shape.
