    Re: 951 carbed in 3D

    Thanx for looking !!

Right now working on the fuel tank/system....I wanted to use the XPL tank but the filler neck is different so I am going to use the RFI tank & take the electric fuel pump out & have a aluminum plate made to cover the hole & use a thru hull barb for the fuel line & drill 2 holes for the return & breather fitting.

I am gonna use the rubber gasket as a template, just waiting for it to get here. Stupid post office can get me a package in 2 days from Cali but takes 7 days from 2 states away.

I was trying to figure out how to get a barb on each side of the plate so I could drop a line down into the tank & have a barb on top fo connect a line to & found this ....

Gonna take the nut off & tap into the plate & thread the fitting into the plate.

Hey Grumpy, I may be a little late on this but on the Di to carbed conversions I've done I hade fuel plates made to mount carbed fuel baffles to have working fuel gauges. Just make sure and mark top side cause the bolt pattern is not symmetrical.

    Thats pretty cool...how much ??

I am having one made by RnR Racing....just a flat plate with a thru nipple setup so there is a nipple on each side.

Been waiting for a while & not a lot of communication from him.

Local welding shop made them for me, seems like each time ran about $30. They cut the plate and welded on the pipe stub, I dressed it up and drilled all the holes.
