The rear motor mounts are the same all I have to do on the front is...use a stock 951 front mount & drill & tap 2 holes. LOL

Out of curiosity, what's in the front that will take a tapped hole and survive the vibration?

The mounts are screwed in the hull....when they build the hulls the put a piece of aluminum in the glass that is drilled & tapped so the bolt has something to thread into.

All Seadoo mounts are like that.

Great thread! Keep the updates coming.

Sorry if I am jacking the thread a bit, but what are the plans for the 787 RFI engine that came out of the 3D?

Thank you! I'm interested in how this works out.

    Re: 951 carbed in 3D

The aluminum plate in the front was not as big as I thought but was able to modify a stock 951 mount & get it screwed into the plate so I didnt have to do any glass work.

My next hurdle was a throttle cable long enough with a TPS for the 951...I was able to take the top half of the 3D cable with the TPS part of the XPL cable & turn the cable mount at the carbs around & works like a charm.

Today I took the banana seat out of the handle pole & without it the spring was overpowering on raising the handle pole thankfully Seadoo put a adjuster screw to adjust the tension on the spring so with it all the way down its perfect not too much up or down.

I broke the upper pole cover getting it off...the front screw always breaks on these & trying to find one is tough but I always seem to find stuff if I look hard enough & sure enough found a brand new one on Ebay only listed by part #.

Took the steering all apart & cleaned out the bushings so turns easily & have a new OEM cable to install. So far I have $100 into this build. LOL Trying to use as much stuff I have laying around & off the donor XPL so I am gonna have very little into this build.

I have my eye on a dead DI 3D that the local Kawi shop has, I was planning a carb engine swap if I get my hands on it.
Y'all know me, still the same O.G. but I been low-key
hated on by most these &^$$@s with no cheese, no deals and no G's, no wheels and no keys, no boats, no snowmobiles, and no skis, mad at me cause I can finally afford to provide my family with groceries
